Come join us the third weekend in May–2021.
Sadly, we’ve been forced to cancel our 113th annual Florence Rhododendron Festival for May 15-17, 2020, due to the COVID-19 health crisis We are really looking forward to seeing you May 14-16, 2021, and hope you will join us then.
For perspective, this will be the first time since WWII that Rhody Fest has been canceled. We gave this decision as long as we could and the deepest consideration.
Generations of families have enjoyed the annual Florence Rhododendron Festival by attending, enjoying the Davis Shows carnival, exhibiting their rhodies, showing off their classic cars and motorcycles, being in the parade, and shopping and dining in Old Town and all around town. It’s a family tradition, an Oregon institution. And it’s heartbreaking to have to cancel it this year.
But oh, what a party it should be in 2021! Plan now to join us then.
We cannot wait to welcome visitors back to Florence to enjoy all that Oregon’s Coastal Playground has to offer as soon as it is safe to do so and any restrictions are lifted.
The Florence Rhododendron Festival is the second-oldest flower festival in Oregon, just one year younger than the Portland Rose Festival, and third-oldest on the West Coast behind the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena, California. Thousands come from around the world to celebrate with us. We hope you will too!
The Rhododendrons that thrive along the Oregon Coast are the stars of the Festival and we celebrate their beauty! The spectacular display of hundreds of Rhododendrons takes place at the Florence Events Center.
Come enjoy the Street Vendor Fair, Car Show, 5K Rhody Run, and the carnival with rides, games, food, and a few other surprises. Join us on Sunday of festival week at noon for the annual Rhododendron Festival Grand Floral Parade.
The festival officially begins with the Rhody Showcase to crown “Queen Rhododendra” and “The King of the Coast” on the Wednesday of festival week.
And while you are in the area, be sure to visit our fabulous shops, restaurants and the many adventures found only in Florence—Oregon’s Coastal Playground.
