Florence is proud of the Siuslaw School District and the neighboring Mapleton School District. From “all-day K” to remedial and advanced programs for students of all grades, an active STEM program, extracurricular activities, and after school sports programs, we’ve got it. There’s also a Christian school open to all faiths for students up to eighth grade, and an extension campus of Lane Community College that offers associates degrees, enriching non-credit classes, plus seminars and courses for businesspeople.

Working parents need options for childcare. Florence has them! Church-based, community-based, private in-home, and services for special needs kids are all available.
