Ambassador Committee

Purpose: Serve as the public relations arm of the Chamber by coordinating ribbon cuttings, business after hours, and membership recruitment and retention. Ambassadors provide public relations support and act as the welcoming arm of the Chamber, ensuring members feel valued and connected.

Vision: To foster a welcoming and engaged Chamber community where every member feels connected, valued, and supported.

Beautification For Florence

Purpose: In collaboration with the City and other stakeholders, develop and implement projects to beautify and enhance commercial areas to create and promote the cultural, tourist, commercial, and community core for Florence’s citizens and visitors.

Vision: To transform Florence into a vibrant, unified district that serves as the heartbeat of our community and a destination for all.

Fourth of July Committee
Purpose: Plan and execute the Chamber’s annual Fourth of July celebration, ensuring a memorable and safe event that enhances community spirit.

Vision: To create a patriotic and inclusive celebration that strengthens community bonds and showcases Florence’s festive spirit.

Holiday Festival Committee

Purpose:
The Holiday Festival Committee coordinates the annual Holiday Festival, marking the start of the holiday season on the first Saturday in December. This favorite event brings the Florence community together for a festive celebration that includes Santa visits, a lighted parade, ceremonial tree lighting, and plenty of family-friendly fun.

Vision:
Our vision is to create a heartwarming experience that ushers in the holiday season with joy, togetherness, and memory-making. By transforming Florence into a vibrant hub of holiday spirit, we aim to make our town a must-visit destination during the festive season, where families and visitors can create lasting memories.

Marketing Team

Purpose:
The Marketing Team brings together Florence stakeholders to develop and manage marketing strategies, buys, and investments that fulfill the contract between the City of Florence and the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce. The team focuses on attracting and serving visitors through targeted advertising, promotion, event production, and Visitor Center operations. By enhancing tourism, one of the region’s largest private industry sectors, the team works to ensure the continued health and success of Florence area businesses.

Vision:
Our vision is to position Florence as a premier tourism destination on the Oregon Coast, driving sustained economic growth and supporting local businesses year-round. Through collaborative efforts and strategic marketing, we aim to keep Florence thriving and top of mind for visitors.

Membership Committee

Purpose: Assist in the recruitment of new members and the retention of existing ones. The committee helps members identify the best ways to utilize their Chamber membership to maximize their benefits.

Vision: To build a thriving and engaged Chamber membership that benefits from strong community connections and business support.

Rhododendron Festival Committee
Purpose: Oversee all sanctioned events during the Rhododendron Festival and maintain communication with non-sanctioned events. The committee works with the Chamber’s CEO on event decisions and budgeting.

Vision: To preserve and enhance the Rhododendron Festival as a cherished community tradition that celebrates Florence’s heritage and fosters civic pride.

Chair Committee

Purpose:
The Chair Committee is composed of the immediate past board Chair, the Chair Elect, and the Current Chair. This committee meets regularly with the CEO to provide support, guidance, and strategic direction. The focus of the committee is to assist in chamber investments, problem-solving, and ensuring the Chamber's initiatives align with its long-term goals.

Vision:
The Chair Committee aims to foster strong leadership and continuity within the Chamber, ensuring that the CEO has the resources and guidance necessary to navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and drive the Chamber's mission forward. Through regular collaboration, the committee ensures that the Chamber remains on a path of growth and success.
