Sea Lion on a Shelf – Find Sami the Sea Lion all over Town!

Join us in Florence from November 30 through December 20 where we will have more than 30 Chamber members with a plush little Sami the Sea Lion hidden within the business for customers to find! Searchers of the fuzzy elf-capped pinniped can pick up a passport and map at the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce visitor’s center (290 Hwy 101). After their adventure they turn it in at the Chamber’s visitors center. Winners will be drawn to receive $100, $50, and $25 gift certificates redeemable at the host locations. This fun filled family event is sponsored by Sea Lion Caves. A happy tradition in Flo-town is to gather your friends and family, and head over to the Florence Events Center for The Holly Jolly Follies.  This year’s Follies is presented by C.R.O.W. on December 6th, 7th, and 8th, and is sure to kick off your holiday season right.  Local playwright Rose Ellen Jacobson has created a sentimental and humorous plot, involving several of the Follies’ most beloved characters.  Sarge Elf (played by Mike Smith) is a bit of a “late bloomer” in love department, and audiences will be treated to the sweet story of how he meets and falls in love Joy Merriweather (played by Polly Coleman), manager of the North Pole’s only Candy Cane Factory.  Through the story’s twists and turns, the unexpected pair’s journey will tug at your heartstrings, and remind us all of what really matters in life. Oregon Integrated Health is thankful to be open again in Florence Oregon. We are having an Open Clinic Event for you to come meet our providers and OIH team!  We know there has been lots of changes going on for Medicare and Medicaid plans with the OHA - we will do our best to answer questions at the event! We have primary care as well as mental/behavioral health services - we are accepting new patients and have same day/same week appointments.  We accept Medicare and Medicaid and most other payers! C.R.O.W. proudly announced open auditions for Disney’s Mary Poppins.  The beloved Disney classic tale follows the story of young Jane and Michael, who have sent many a nanny packing before a magical new person arrives on their doorstep.  Utilizing a combination of snarky wit and common sense, Mary Poppins must teach the Banks family how to value each other again.  Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect -- even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the practically perfect nanny. Mary Poppins marks C.R.O.W.’s 9th Spring production, and will be performed April 17th-26th at the Florence Events Center, and for invited school audiences on April 16th.   Local audiences may recall that last Spring, C.R.O.W. produced a main stage production of The Wiz which packed the FEC, and delighted local audiences.  C.R.O.W. is…
