A Bargain Hunter’s Dream in Oregon’s Coastal Playground
Make room in your trunk and bring your best price-haggling, treasure-hunting spirit—Florence’s Community-wide Garage Sale is back September 12–14, 2025, and it’s better than ever!
This beloved tradition will once again transform the town into a bargain hunter’s paradise, drawing savvy shoppers and curious explorers from up to 100 miles away.
“This is one of our biggest and favorite events of the year,” says Bettina Hannigan, president and CEO of the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce. “For nearly a dozen years, this event has attracted deal-seekers from all over the Northwest who love the hunt for great bargains and a coastal getaway. Whether you're searching for retro finds, home goods, clothes, tools, toys, or handmade treasures, Florence’s Community-wide Garage Sale promises surprises at every turn.”
Scores of homes, neighborhoods, gated communities, pop-up markets, retail shops, and nonprofits will bring the goods—each one offering unbeatable deals, unexpected finds, and one-of-a-kind curiosities. Shoppers can grab an official Garage Sale Map & Guide starting in early September—complete with a short description for each sale site at the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce Visitor’s Center and Gallery (290 Highway 101), or under the Events tab at FlorenceFun.com.
“This is more than just a garage sale weekend,” says Hannigan. “It’s a full-scale treasure-hunting adventure in one of Oregon’s most beautiful destinations.”
Florence offers more than shopping: after scoring deals, visitors can enjoy serene, uncrowded beaches, scenic dunes, pristine lakes, lush forests, and plenty of family-friendly recreation—from golfing and horseback riding to sandboarding and beachcombing. And don’t forget Florence’s famous food scene—chowder, seafood, and an ever-growing arts and culture vibe.
“This is a great chance to squeeze in one more memorable trip to the coast before school routines fully take over your life,” Hannigan adds. “Come for the bargains, stay for the natural beauty, the chowder, and the charm of Old Town. And be sure to take time to enjoy our other attractions and adventures.”
