INSPIRATION ON DISPLAY DURING CHAMBER’S NOVEMBER ART EXHIBIT

Paintings, archival prints, mixed media, and wearable art by local, regional, and select national artists are on display throughout November at the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce’s visitors center and art gallery.

Serene Abundance Studio of Florence is providing the exhibit.

“The mission of our Studio Gallery, and this exhibit, is to show visitors what's possible when art is used in the service of healing, personal growth, and inspiration,” says studio owner Serena Appel. “For example, in addition to several local and regional artists in display, there is on display right now at the Chamber striking black and white canvases by Rachel Rusenko of Portland, that reference nature, the beauty of abstract shape and heritage, plus elements of design from her Moroccan heritage.”

Several pieces in the exhibit are for sale.

Appel is a licensed professional counselor, fine artist, and creative writer who works in the creative arts therapies. The Studio serves as a home base for her private practice and personal art space, as well as a community oriented and inclusive space for a variety of classes, events, workshop rental, and exhibitions. Over the past few years, the studio has become a hub for a network of local artists, community stakeholders, and fellow creative healers.
