Looking for things to do in Florence, Oregon this fall? Make sure to stop by the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center and Gallery to see the newest exhibit by local artist Regina “Reggie” Oflock. Known as the creative force behind Sea Gypsy Cottage Gallery, Oflock is showcasing 11 original paintings throughout September—each one available for purchase.

Reggie’s story is as inspiring as her art. Born in Southern California, she spent her early years on the water—kayaking, sailing, and soaking in beach life. When she moved to Oregon in 1995, she says she “fell in love with all its beauty—the forest, rivers, lakes, and the great people.” That love now shines through in her eclectic paintings, inspired by nature, friends, family, and travel.

This exhibit is especially exciting because it marks Reggie’s return to the Chamber gallery after a two-year break. According to Bettina Hannigan, Chamber President/CEO, “This is different from what we usually have in our exhibit. I think visitors—local and from out of town—are going to love this unique and unusual display.”

The Florence Chamber Visitor Center is quickly becoming a must-visit gallery on the Oregon Coast, featuring a rotating showcase of talented local artisans, photographers, painters, sculptors, and craftspeople.
