The Archives LLC

The Archives was founded in the search to restore a legacy. Milton H. Greene died in 1985 believing that 80% of his 300,000 image collection was lost forever to deterioration. His son, Joshua Greene spent the next ten years searching for a way to restore his fathers photography. After many attempts with traditional restoration practices, Joshua Greene was introduced to the miracle of Digital Restoration. In 1994 Joshua Greene founded The Archives. The Archives has digitally restored hundreds of Milton's original images to date, and is actively involved in restoring, archiving and representing other historical collections both public and private. The Archives' exclusive printing process produces state of the art digitally re-mastered prints with an enduring lifespan of up to 200 years! As compared to traditional photographic prints that have been scientifically rated to last 60-75 years.
