Gather your team and plan to attend the Annual Florence Habitat for Humanity Beachwalk! Don't have a team? No problem! Solo walkers are more then welcome! Beachwalk is a fundraiser to benefit the mission of Florence Habitat for Humanity.
Circles in the Sand beach art returns to Florence October 16 on the beach at Driftwood Shores. A giant labyrinth will be carved in the sand. A public walkthrough the begins at 5:00 p.m. Low tide will be at 5:15 and sunset will be at 6:30 p.m. The event is free to attend and will be held rain or shine. Driftwood Shores Resort and Conference Center, Sand Master Park Sandboarding and Venomous Sandboards, Sea Lion Caves, Mo’s Seafood and Chowder, and The Little Brown Hen restaurant are sponsoring the annual event. Circles in the Sand was created in 2011 by labyrinth artist Denny Dyke. Dyke is based near Bandon and does several beach draws each year on Bandon’s beaches. Plan your holiday fun in Florence! These activities and more will keep you and yours shopping and supporting local! The Luminary Walk - Will begin on SHOP SMALL Saturday November 27. This course map will lead "star gazers" to participating locations where locals and visitors will collect stars. Once you've have collected 12 stars, you can mail or drop off your maps to the Visitor Center at 290 Hwy 101 by Noon on December 4th to be entered to win a gift. Drawing will take place on Saturday December 4th at 6pm in front of the gazebo in Old Town Park on Bay St. This is the night of the City Tree Lighting which will be held at 5:30 pm. The "Making Spirits Bright" Tree Lighting Celebration will be held December 4th 4- 6pm around Old Town hosted by the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce. Come make memories with us, young and old will enjoy walking through Old Town with beautifully lit balloons, music, and taking pictures in the Gazebo with the "Anchor of Hope" tree. Santa & the elves will be making their rounds via truck provided by the Public Works Department. Then the grand finale at 5:30! The City of Florence Christmas tree, located at the Siuslaw River Bridge Interpretive Site, will be lit at 5:30 pm by Mayor Henry. C.R.O.W. proudly announces a special outdoor live vocal music event, to take place on December 11th from 5:30-7 pm at the C.R.O.W. Center for the Performing Arts – 3120 Hwy 101 in Florence. The event will feature several “C.R.O.W. kids” who will entertain audiences in the parking lot (weather permitting) with holiday songs & cheer. Hot chocolate will be provided to guests. Guests must wear facial coverings/masks and maintain social distancing, during this event for the safety of everyone in attendance.
