Fundraiser for Power & Light Pole Banners Around Town

Florence, Oregon Florence

Banners Program Banners Program   Many have said, It’s about time! I can’t wait! and How can I help? when they heard about the new power pole banners coming to Florence’s Highway 101 corridor.   Here’s how you can be a part of one of the most fun and festive civic pride programs—and economically impactful projects—in Florence’s recent history!   With your support, the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce will install visitor-focused, event-based, and seasonal banners to festoon the new Revision Florence poles (between the bridge and Highway 126) and on the power poles from Highway 126 north to Fred Meyer. There will also be on some poles along Hwy 126 and at the entrance to Three Rivers Casino Resort.   This is your chance to get behind the Chamber to launch this program to catch drivers’ attention at the casino and through our Highway 101 corridor, get them to […]

Bottle and Can Drive-Thru Donation Event

Tired of standing in line to return those redeemable bottles and cans? Florence Habitat for Humanity will gladly take them off your hands as they continue to raise funds for a new delivery truck. Florence Habitat is hosting its next bottle and can drive on Saturday, May 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  This is a social distancing, drive-thru event. People can bring their redeemable bottles and cans they wish to donate to the Florence Habitat ReStore parking lot, 2016 Highway 101.  Volunteers will be on hand to unload them from your vehicle. A Race for the Rest of Us

A RACE FOR THE REST OF US Race Overview A “race” for a good cause - to raise money for the Lane Council of Governments Senior Meals Program, which provides food to Lane County seniors who might otherwise go hungry. The distance is a whopping 0.5k – nope, that is not a typo! That is half kilometer, or about one third of a mile, or about 546 yards, or about 1640 feet, or about twice as far as the average good golfer can hit a golf ball off of a tee – you get the idea. This is a challenging course but also easy, in fact, we're not exactly sure what it'll look like for you. Could go either way. There will be customized aid stations (you decide!), unique finishing lines (you decide!), photos (again, you decide!) And if running/walking 546 yards isn’t your thing, there’s also a VIP option […]
