Making Spirits Bright – Holiday Fun in Florence

These activities and more will keep you and yours shopping and supporting local!
The Luminary Walk – Will begin on SHOP SMALL Saturday November 27. This course map will lead “star gazers” to participating locations where locals and visitors will collect stars. Once you’ve have collected 12 stars, you can mail or drop off your maps to the Visitor Center at 290 Hwy 101 by Noon on December 4th to be entered to win a gift. Drawing will take place on Saturday December 4th at 6pm in front of the gazebo in Old Town Park on Bay St. This is the night of the City Tree Lighting which will be held at 5:30 pm. Course Maps will be available at participating locations, here and at the Visitor Center.
SHOP SMALL SATURDAY – Many retail stores will stay open on November 27th (Shop Small Saturday) and December 4th (Holiday Festival Night) Until 7pm and will be serving a refreshments. A list of participating locations will be available soon.
Merchant Decor Contest November 27th – December 24th – Participating locations will decorate their storefronts or offices using the theme ‘Making Spirits Bright” as their inspiration. Locals and tourists will be able to find these locations which will be available here, at participating locations and the Visitor Center

- The Chamber will be at Gazebo Park handing out lit balloons to children in attendance.
- Banner Bank will be providing glow necklaces in sponsorship of this event.
- DJ – Al Rojas will be providing musical entertainment from 4-6.
- Santa & ELVES will be making THEIR rounds via truck provided by the Public Works Department.
- City tree lighting will be at 5:30 AT the Siuslaw River Bridge Interpretive Center on Bay Street.
This year’s Chamber Tree located in the Gazebo at Old Town Park on Bay St will have the theme “Anchored in Hope”
