Independence Day Celebration in Florence’s Old Town!
July 4, 2019
Join us for Florence’s annual Independence Day fireworks show!
The pyrotechnics extravaganza will be launched from the Port of Siuslaw Campground over the Siuslaw River which can be viewed along the river throughout Old Town. The colors reflect off the water, which makes the display extra beautiful.
Adding to the old-fashioned fun are the annual pie and watermelon eating contests, sponsored this year by Habitat for Humanity and the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce. The contests are FREE and open to all ages! (Age groups will be 0-12, 13-20, and 21+). They will be staged on the Port’s Boardwalk area east of ICM Restaurant. from 1pm until approximately 3pm. Registration starts on-site at 1pm.
Enjoy the show with fully-synchronized patriotic music. The music will be broadcast on KCST/Coast Radio throughout the Florence area with a live remote in the Old Town area.
The fireworks show will begin at 10pm.
