Welcome to our 2024 photo contest information and submission page. Deadline for entry is Wednesday, November 15, 2024. The winner will be notified by e-mail within 30 days.
The winner will collect a $250 cash prize, have their submitted photo featured in the Chamber’s resource guide and other printed marketing pieces, on their website, and in social media. A panel of Chamber members will decide the winner.
We are looking for the best photos of the fun, frolic, and iconic sights and scenery from this place we call “Oregon’s Coastal Playground,” so we’re looking for outstanding amateur or professional photos that convey our coastal playground theme. Photos from in town, around town, nearby attractions, and from the natural areas within 20 miles of Florence will be eligible. Special consideration will be given photos that convey a diversity of people (ages and ethnicities) having fun in and around Florence
The best photos will express how great a destination Florence is for vacationing.
So download your best photos from you smartphone or camera and send us your highest resolution photos showing the best of our area’s sights, scenery, natural locations, and with you and your family and friends having fun here in Oregon’s Coastal Playground.
The contest is open to Florence area residents and visitors from all over the world. Amateurs and professionals alike are encouraged to enter. Entrants under the age of 18 must have signed permission of a parent or guardian. Portrait- or landscape-oriented photos are both encouraged.
By entering the contest, contestants state they have ownership and rights to submit the photo, that the photo is free of encumbrance by other entities, and by entering give the Chamber unlimited rights for the use of photos in its publicity and marketing materials. Entrants do not give up exclusive rights for future use of the photos for their own private use. For credit purposes, please title your image with your name.
To enter, complete the entry form below. Entrants must also provide signed waivers (see photo release form below) granting the Chamber permission to use the image or likeness of anyone included in the photo.
The photographer will be credited any time a photo credit is possible. Photos must be submitted with the photographer’s name, approximate date of photo, and location. Ideal photos will be in .jpg format, color, vertical in orientation (but horizontal will be accepted). We prefer 1920x1080 pixels, and 8MP, if possible. If the photo is more than 10 MP in file size, contestants can e-mail Contest@FlorenceChamber.com for a Dropbox URL through which to share the entry. Photos selected for use must not have watermarks and will require a signed release by the photographer and any recognizable persons in the photo.
