FlorenceFest, our new wine, art, and jazz festival is coming March 31 and April 1. Tickets are available at the bottom of this page. This will be an event for the senses with 20 wineries, nearly a dozen awesome jazz acts, and a prestigious juried art show with entrants from all over the west coast.
Before you know it, it’ll be time for the 110th Annual Rhododendron Festival from May 19 to 21. This is one of the longest running flower-themed festivals on the west coast. Carnival tickets go on sale soon. Save money and enjoy the convenience of pre-purchased tickets. And Sunday’s grand floral parade is not to be missed! Florence is Always Ready to Rhody, and that’s our theme this year in celebration of the centennial anniversary of our local Coast Guard Station on the Siuslaw River.
And then…summer!
Beach fires, s’mores, Sand rails and ATVs, kite flying, windsurfing, kayaking, fishing, boating, beachcombing and tidepooling, long romantic walks on uncrowded beaches… And then there are the specific events: Wings & Wheels on July 1, fireworks July4, Rods & Rhodys on September 8-18…and those are just of the fun things to plan for around here. Guess we’d better use #somuchtodo in all our social media.
